12.31.09 We have purchased a new machine called the Catalyst Dx Chemistry Analyzer by Idexx, which will make us more efficient in the lab. We also now have a machine to measure your pet's clotting time if rat poison ingestion is suspected.

11.24.09 Dr. Deb Jahnke will be our relief veterinarian while Dr. Schilling is away on her honeymoon. She has done relief work since 2003 and also has a mobile practice out of Hastings.

3.27.09 Flea, tick and mosquito season is here! Start your Frontline Plus now because folks are already finding ticks on their pets (and in the past couple months we have lost two dogs to a strain of Lyme Disease that causes kidney failure), and fleas will be around before we know it. Also, all dogs should be heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative by June 1st.

2.16.09 April 2009 is officially our 20th year open in Lakeville!! We have an open house in the works, scheduled for May 30th and hope to see all of our wonderful clients there!! You will be able to tour the building, we'll have prize drawings and several activities for the whole family to enjoy.

12.1.08 We have purchased a new anesthesia monitoring machine by Cardell. It measures blood pressure, temperature, pulse oximetry, and carbon dioxide output, and has an ECG to keep your pet safe while under anesthesia.

12.3.07 We can now screen your dog for lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes), which can help us treat the disease successfully if caught early.

9.30.07 Mars Veterinary has launched the Wisdom Panel MX which can screen your mixed breed dog for over 150 different breeds. This can be helpful because certain breeds are known for specific health issues. Your cost is $170 and results come back within a few weeks.
