Everything you need to know about Southfork Animal Hospital!
Southfork Animal Hospital feels that all pets should be seen for a physical exam at least once a year, and some pets (depending on their age and health conditions) should be seen more often. This regular check-up is a critical part of keeping pets healthy and will involve a thorough head-to-tail exam. An integral part of this annual wellness exam is a discussion with your regarding nutrition, behavior, and preventative care. When a client comes to us for the first time, it’s helpful if they share any previous health records or information, and we welcome any information that they feel is important about their pet.
A regular exam, in addition to updates and feedback from owners, helps us maintain an ongoing record of a pet’s health. We pay attention to many factors, such as weight, eating habits, behavior changes, bathroom habits, oral health and activity level, to name a few. We believe it is in the best interest of all pets if we can work in partnership with owners to keep their pets healthy. We encourage owners to keep a medical journal of their pet’s health throughout its life – client observations are crucial in maintaining and discovering health issues.
Consistent with our goal to provide clients with excellent medical care, in some circumstances, our doctors may offer clients a referral to a specialist who has advanced expertise in their respective niche of veterinary medicine.

At Southfork Animal Hospital, we understand that caring for beloved pets can sometimes come with unexpected costs. That’s why we offer a third-party payment plan system called VetBilling to help you manage your pet’s health care expenses.
VetBilling allows you to divide your balance into manageable, interest-free installments that are made through secure and automatic withdrawals. These payments are sent to Southfork Animal Hospital on your behalf, and automatic withdrawals stop once your payment arrangement is complete or when your bill is paid in full. There is no penalty for early pay off.
To determine the length of your payment plan and down payment amount, you will need to complete a soft credit check using your social security number. The down payment can vary from 20-65% of the total invoice, and payment plans are 3-6 months long. Please note that VetBilling requires a $25 non-refundable processing fee at the time of setting up the plan, and this amount is separate from your down payment.
Each automatic payment will have a $3 convenience fee added to it. To sign up for VetBilling, you will need your social security number, driver’s license, and two forms of payment. The easiest way to do this is at Southfork Animal Hospital.
Please be aware that some restrictions may apply, and terms and conditions may change. VetBilling is designed to help you manage your pet’s healthcare costs comfortably, and Southfork Animal Hospital is here to assist you every step of the way!
