Dr. Paula Schanck

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Schanck and her husband Craig opened Southfork Animal Hospital on April 10, 1989. They moved to our current location in 2003. Completed her undergrad at the Univeristy of Wisconsin – River Falls. She received her DVM from the University of Minnesota. Her professional interests include skin and ears, as well as caring for cats. Dr. Schanck and Craig have been married for 32 years. They have two children, a cat – Oliver, and a dog – Casey.

Dr. Katherine Belisle

Dr. Katherine Belisle

Veterinarian

Dr. Belisle completed her undergrad and DVM from the University of Minnesota. She joined the SFAH team in July, 2000. Dr. Belisle’s professional interests include exotic medicine: treating birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. Dr. Belisle and her two daughters share their home with 5 cats, 2 dogs, 3 birds, and fish. She enjoys gardening, jewelry making, and alternative healing.
Dr. Erin Wrecza

Dr. Erin Wrecza

Veterinarian

Dr. Wrecza received her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 2003. She previously worked as a veterinarian in St. Joseph, MN. Her special interests are feline and canine medicine, as well as surgery and dental procedures. She lives with her husband, three children, and Decorah (“Cora”) the Bernese Mountain Dog.
Dr.  Lucy  Hancock

Dr. Lucy Hancock

Veterinarian

Dr. Hancock completed her undergrad at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. She received her DVM from the University of Minnesota in 2018. Dr. Hancock did an externship with Southfork Animal Hospital during her clinical rotations and officially joined the SFAH team in June 2018. Dr. Hancock’s professional interests include geriatric medicine, pain management, and hospice/palliative care, as well as exotic medicine. Dr. Hancock and her husband have two dogs – Roxy and a corgi puppy named Gertie and two goats – Freddy and Mabel. Her hobbies include spending time outdoors and being with family and friends.

Dr. Nason

Dr. Nason

Veterinarian

Dr. Nason is a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to veterinary school, she actively practiced as a certified veterinary technician in small animal private practice. Her passion and commitment to patient care and public health lead her to pursue medical school. She has special interests in preventive care, feline medicine, dentistry, behavior, and public health. She is married and the besotted pet mother to a Yorkshire terrier, Ruger, and four Netherland dwarf bunnies – Eli, Faith, Elizabeth, and Cami! When she is not practicing medicine, she is an avid reader of mystery and fiction, a budding quilter, and an enthusiast for all things outdoors. She looks forward to meeting and partnering with you on your pet’s healthcare needs.
